About the Program

Steps to see if this program is for you and to make plans:
  • Contact Dr. Murphy
  • Make an appointment with your advisor (Mrs. Myers-Bradley for undergraduates; Dr. Murphy for graduates) to discuss the fit into your curriculum
  • Goto EIU Study Abroad to see application materials
  • APPLY FOR YOUR PASSPORT now if you don't already have one
Requirements
  • updated immunizations as required by EIU (polio booster, updated tetanus, Hepatitis A & B series)
  • malaria medication is a topic to be discussed with you family and physician and is not required at this point
  • request a travel printout from a Public Health Department that is specific to the time, length and activities of your travel as well as individually specific health concerns (such as asthma, etc.)
Meetings
  • Recruitment informational meetings will be held in various Family and Consumer classes..
  • Request that your name is placed on an e-mail list that will notify you of planning meetings from Dr. Murphy.
