Greetings EIU from the office of Vice President for Student Affairs! My name is Kaci Abolt and I am a Junior Rhetoric and Public Advocacy major with a minor in Political Science, and I am honored to serve the EIU community this year. EIU has become my home in every sense. I grew up right down the road and graduated from Charleston High School in 2009.

As an Eastern student, I have grown to love our campus more than I ever thought! I have been involved in a variety of ways on campus by being a member of the honors college and a Presidential Scholar; I am a proud sister in Alpha Gamma Delta; I have been a tour guide, orientation leader, and Prowl Specialist through the office of New Student Programs; and served the students as an Student Senator last year.

I cannot wait to share and implement my goals with the EIU community for my office as Vice President of Student Affairs. Along with planning traditional events, Panther Palooza and Panther Service Day, I plan to completely redo and revitalize the Leadership Wall in the Union, expanding services provided to current Registered Student Organizations via the web, and reach out to students who are interested in starting an RSO of their own!

I am extremely passionate about student involvement and school spirit. My office door is always open, please stop by and say hello or stop me on campus! I am here to serve the students and would love to hear from you all! Every day is spirit day at EIU, so wear your BLUE, go panthers!!
