The comedy committee gives input into which comedians are brought to campus. Committee members may be asked to help pass out raffle tickets at comedy shows, but are usually free to enjoy the show.
The concerts committee works to plan the major concerts on campus (including which acts are brought), and is given the opportunity to work behind the stage at major events. Most concerts coordinators (and coordinators elect) come from within the concerts committee.
The cultural arts committee provides input into which acts are brought to campus and works to set up cultural arts events.
Homecoming is a major event at EIU, and as a result there are actually several committees within Homecoming that work to plan the largest week of programming at EIU. To find out what specific roles are available, check out a committee meeting!

In addition to providing input into upcoming lectures, committee members are asked to help pass out raffle tickets, but are usually free to enjoy the show.
Mainstage puts on an open mic / talent show competition almost every other week. At each event, committee members are needed to pass out raffle tickets, help acts/bands move equipment on stage, and simply enjoy the show.

The marketing committee is the most versatile of the committees. Its goal is gather information about all UB events, including surveys, photographs, and short recaps of the event.

Additionally, the marketing committee includes a few paid members who work to develop graphics for advertising the many UB events each semester. If you are interested in this position, please indicate in the box at the bottom of this page.

The movies committee chooses which movies will be shown on campus in the coming semester and may be asked to show a film from time to time, which includes pressing the play button and raffling off prizes.
Productions is the only paid UB committee. Members of productions are responsible for setting up, monitoring, and tearing down light/sound equipment for UB and other organizations' events. (Some prior knowledge may be required.)
Special Events committee members play an important role in many of the larger-scale events on campus. Members are typically given supervising roles over the many volunteers that are required for a successful Up All Nite or other special event.
