Dr. Gustavo Albear was born in Habana, Cuba, and has been teaching at Eastern Illinois University for eight years in the Department of Secondary Education and Foundations. He was an adviser to the Gateway program in 2004-05. Prior to that he taught at multiple levels of K-12 in Illinois and also held management and training positions with various Fortune 500 companies. He received a Ph.D. with honors in curriculum and instruction from Indiana State University; an M.A. with honors in educational administration from St. Xavier University; a B.A. in liberal arts from Western Illinois University; and an Ed.S. from Eastern. He is a certified lawyer's assistant with a specialization in legal research and litigation, and is pursuing an M.S. in technology at Eastern. |
