Dr. Alan Baharlou has been involved in academic administration in private and public universities for over 40 years with 25 years at Eastern as the chair of the Department of Geology/Geography. Dr. Baharlou received a B.S. in geology from the University of Tehran, Iran. He received an M.S. in geophysics from the University of Oklahoma, and a Ph.D. in geochemistry from the University of Tulsa. Dr. Baharlou directed the Phillips University Archeological Excavation Program in Israel and the Phillips University Program in Sweden, and has traveled extensively throughout Europe and the Middle East. |
