A winter storm is expected to move in this afternoon and continue through Friday morning. Daytime highs will sit in the lower 30s this afternoon and continue to drop throughout the day. Wintry mix is possible in the late afternoon hours then change over to all snow Thursday night into Friday morning. At this time, we expect snowfall totals to reach 3-5" south of I-70, 1-3" from just north of I-70 to the Decatur/Champaign area, and less than 1" to the north. Snow showers will continue through the day on Friday and diminish to flurries toward the evening. Once the storm system leaves the region, daytime highs are expected to sit in the lower 20s on Saturday under mostly sunny skies. Another chance of snow showers will move in on Sunday and Monday.
Enjoy your Thursday!
