Be a WIM Officer 2005-2006

Now is your chance to prove and polish your leadership and professional skills. Take a step in the right direction, become a WIM officer. Each office entails specific duties, all of which enhance one's leadership, management, communication, and networking skills, and holding an office for a conference that top universities in the Midwest attend looks great on a resume.

Officer opportunites with preference going to State is as follows for 2004-2005:

President: Open to any State

Vice President: Illinois

Secretary: Indiana

Treasurer: Michigan

Publicity Chairperson: Any

Social Chairperson: Missouri

Delegate-at-Large: Kansas

Qualifications:

1. Be or become a member of the Preprofessional/Graduate section of the American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences.
2. Have a G.P.A. of 2.0 or above.
3. Submit written verification or recommendation from advisor.
4. Give brief speech to conference prior to vote for your office position.

Also, there will be a mandatory officer meeting held at the Palmer House of Chicago, during a weekend in September 2005.
