Dr. Deborah Woodley is currently serving as Interim Chair in the Lumpkin College of Business & Applied Sciences School of Technology at Eastern Illinois University. Dr. Woodley received her PhD from the University of Illinois, a Master of Science degree in Technology and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Graphic Design from Eastern Illinois University.
Dr. Woodley is a certified Franklin Covey facilitator and has conducted numerous workshops on the "7 Habits of Highly Effective People". Her research interests include performance improvement through the performance appraisal system, train systems management and self-directed work teams.
She has work experience with World Color Press and R. R. Donnelly as well as the American Legion and American Legion Auxillary.
Dr. Woodley started her career at Eastern in 1986 as a communication graphics instructor with the Industrial Technology Department. She worked in that capacity and also taught courses in organizational leadership and employee development until 2000 when she was appointed coordinator of the Career and Organizational Studies Program. Dr. Woodley served in that capacity until fall of 2005 when she was appointed Assistant Chair in the School of Technology. She served as assistant chair for five years.
