Charges

Civil service employees filling positions temporarily for the summer shall have their vacation charged to the department where they are assigned regularly.

Employees who do not have a regular assignment shall have their vacation charged to the department last assigned.

Vacation charges for employees who return to a summer appointment from a leave or lay-off shall have their vacation charged to the department where they were assigned at the time of leave or lay-off.

Payments

A civil service employee who is being paid for accrued leave benefits may be authorized to work in excess of the regular time authorized for the position. In such cases, the supervisor shall be responsible for securing appropriate authorization and funding.
