A
Century of Physics and Technology Dr. Andrew was born in Connecticut and went to school at Worcester Polytechnic Institute to study physics and engineering. He then went on to graduate school in physics at the University of Arkansas and spent time at Kitt Peak National Observatory, Brookhaven National Laboratory and Fermi National Laboratory. His early studies were devoted to quantum fields, twistors and special elementary particles predicted by quantum chromodynamics known as glueballs. He began teaching at Stockton State College in New Jersey before coming to Eastern Illinois University and has participated in the New Jersey Governor's School of the Sciences at Drew University. He is currently active in string motivated cosmology, the NSF National Science Digital Library project and at Argonne National Laboratory while serving as professor and Chair of Physics at Eastern Illinois University. |
