Mini Field Trip

Lincoln Team

            The Lincoln team along with the Dr. Suess team took a mini field trip to the Booth Library.  The kids were amazed with how big it was and they were very excited!  We gave the students a tour around the library so they could see where their team leaders study.  We entered the Ballenger Teacher Center and listened to the speaker, Mrs. Brownson, who is the director of the center.  She introduced many new books to the children about Abraham Lincoln and Dr. Seuss.  She informed the children about Dr. Seuss’s and Lincoln’s childhood, which was a good review for our team members.  She asked the children questions about their hero and, proudly, they could answer her easily.  Mrs. Brownson let the children know that the Ballenger Teacher Center was open to them if an adult they knew had an Eastern library card.  Both team members learned new things and they were amazed with being in our library.
