On our mini-field trip we travelled to the Eastern Illinois University’s green house to visit Mr. Malehorn. We saw a variety of plants and learned interesting facts about those plants. He showed us the roots and the leaves of many plants. He then explained how plants got their food from the sun. Mr. Malehorn even showed us plants that ate insects for food. We could have toured the green house for hours but before we knew it, it was time to go.
