Our Mini-Field Trip
For our mini-field
trip, someone we knew quite well came to EIU for a visit. That
person was our principal, Mr. Carey! We were quite surprised to
see him there. When he was a boy, his family moved to Somalia,
Africa. He showed us pictures of the land in Africa and talked
about the people who live there. He also showed us some authentic
African artifacts. Our favorite was the camel bell made from wood
of the baobab tree.
