Journeyed up the Mississippi River to Peoria, IL and built a home

journeyed up the Mississippi River all the way to chicago and
built his Chicago
home (which was located near today's Wrigley Building)

He opened his fur trading business

His wife and children move from Peoria to Chicago

granddaughter was the first child to be born in Chicago

- He moved back to Peoria after selling his Chicago property
