Our
Fieldtrip
On October 19, 2007 we met with Kevin Harris, who represented
the Haiti Connection. Haiti Connection is a registered student
oraganization on Eastern Illinois University's campus that works to
better the conditions of the lives of the Haitian people. He talked to
us about the terrible condition of the drinking water in Haiti. He
also showed us buckets that were given by the Haiti Connection to Haiti
in order to cleanse the water. One of the buckets was used to fill up
with water, then placed on top of another bucket that had a cotton and
charcoal filter to clean bacteria out of the water. This water was then
