Today’s lesson was really neat, because we used a concept map to link together all twelve Project WOW heroes of freedom. There are so many! Thomas Garrett, Harriet B. Stowe, Sojourner Truth, William Lloyd Garrison, Frederick Douglas, Catherine and Levi Coffin, Sarah and Angelina Grimke, Clara Barton, the Alcott Family, Booker T. Washington, Eli Whitney, and of course, Elijah Lovejoy. We each chose three heroes from this list and made a poster with pictures and facts about the heroes.
