Our team visited the Daily Eastern News
newsroom. We chose to go on this field trip because our hero of
freedom, Frederick Douglass started the anti-slavery newspaper, North Star. We visited the printing
press at Eastern Illinois University and the students learned how the
newspaper is made--very different from when Frederick Douglass made his
newspaper!
