Thomas Jefferson: The Third President of the United States of America.

Thomas Jefferson was born on April 12,1743.
When he was 14 his father died.
He loved to read, he had thousands of books.
He was a politician, President, Architect, Lawyer, and Inventor.
He kept a log book of all the plants and animals that inhabited Virginia.
He designed and began the University of Virginia in Charlottesville.
He organized the Lewis and Clark Expedition to find a water route to the Pacific, and inform its inhabitants of the Louisiana Purchase.
He helped write the Constitution of the United States.
He also wrote the Declaration of Independence in 1776.
He built his house in Charlottesville, VA. His residence is known as Monticello.
