2015 IFT Robert G. Porter Scholarship
Each year, the IFT Porter scholarship provides two $6,000 scholarship awards ($1,500 each year for four years) to outstanding high school seniors with no less than a cumulative "B" grade average. Applicants must be the children of IFT members or retirees. Click here for eligibility details and application instructions.
The application deadline is December 15, 2014.
EIU-UPI Graduate Labor Essay Contest
The Graduate School is accepting applications or nominations for the EIU University Professionals of Illinois Graduate Annual Scholarship. Requirements for the scholarship include that the recipient is a degree candidate, has a graduate GPA of 3.00 or higher in any discipline, and earns the highest rank on a 2000-word (minimum) essay on a topic which makes a contribution to understanding the significance of organized labor.
The Council on Graduate Studies Scholarships Committee will review the essays and select the recipient based on the highest ranked essay. Graduate candidates selected for the award will attend the Distinguished Graduate Students Awards Ceremonies to receive the award.
