Dr. Gary Fritz, Professor of Biology at Eastern Illinois University, will introduce a screening of his documentary film Piedra Roja on Wednesday, September 19th at 6:00 p.m. in the Doudna Lecture Hall. Dr. Fritz's film, which combines film footage taken at the 1970's landmark Red Rock Music Festival and recent interviews with participants, won top honors at the In-Edit International Film Competition in Chile. There will be a reception following the film screening.  

 

In conjunction with this event, on Tuesday, September 18 at 6:30 p.m. in the Doudna Lecture Hall Dr. Barr-Melej, Chair of the Department of History at Ohio University, presented a lecture entitled  “Piedra Roja, An Orgy of Drugs and Corruption?: The Making, Vibes and Impact of Chile’s Woodstock.”
