teachers: what do "old folks do ?"

hint:

Don't forget with people living longer --- and not retiring until the age of 72 -- then 22 year old college graduates won't get their first teaching position until they are 38. Sure, we will cure cancer and heart disease -- but there will be a price to pay.

Everyone lives to 114 -- cool !

Of course, no retirement system was ever set up to support someone for 40 years after their retired.

And then there is the human mind -- trained to work, work, work -- and then retire for 40+ years --- a longer period of time than they worked ?

Social Security was set up in 1935 to give 65 year old retirees a little supplemental income --- at a time in life when the life expectancy was 64. Clever idea.

And then there is your marriage -- as your mom or his dad moves in with you and you have to take care of them for a much, much longer time than the 18 years they tended to you.

"Please, Buddah; Allah; ______ help us find a cure for cancer and ...."

Be careful what you pray for --- you may get it.
