We took a tour around the new Fine Arts Building which is being built at Eastern Illinois University. The Doudna building has been in the building process for the past two years, and should be finished sometime next year (hopefully). We took a tour around the building, and saw how architectural works get built. We watched the men work on the building, observed how the building was set up, discovered shapes they used within the building, and guessed what each room would be. It was neat to see a building in the process of being built. We can't wait to see the finished project!
We also walked to Old Main to look at a map of Eastern's campus. The make included the new Doudna Fine Arts building which was being built. The map also looked like some of the blue prints we have been studying and designing. We pointed out some buildings we knew, buildings we have seen, and noticed how each building was unique in design. We also looked at some of the pictures of the Doudna building. They had pictures to show the building progression. It was very cool.
