1949- Debut Game:  April 19, with the Indians
1951-1957- Played for the Chicago White Sox
1951- Won rookie of the year
1960-1961- Played for the White Sox again
1962-Played for the St. Louis Cardinals
1963- Played for the Washington Senators
1964- Played for the White Sox for the third time
1976- Returned to play 3 games with the White Sox.  At the age 53 he became the second oldest player to ever get a hit
1980- At the age 54: he became the oldest player to ever play in the Major Leagues
1980- Final Game October 5
2003- At the age of 80 he played and became the only player to play in 7 decades
