EIU Facilitators

Hi, my name is Victoria Goudy and I am a senior at Eastern Illinois University majoring in Elementary Education. I really enjoy long hikes with my family (I have three children) and can understand why our Illinois Hero Paul Sargent loved the land he was born on and lived in! Fall was a wonderful time to study this talented painter as our team was able to appreciate the same beauty out of doors that Paul Sargent loved and painted. I have enjoyed working with Miss Heller and the “Paul Sargent” team the past few weeks. We have discovered much about Paul Sargent, the painter, and Illinois Hero and we have even discovered some things about ourselves! Our team is full of talented artists, writers, and cooks! Thanks to a great team (Hallie, Jacob, Dakota, and Brianna) for making project WOW a success!

Hello, my name is Sarah Heller and I am a senior at Eastern Illinois University majoring in Elementry Education with a concentration in Mathematics.  I really enjoy playing tennis and being active in the community.  My favorite thing about Paul Sargent was the way he caught the color in his paintings.  Growing up in this area, I have enjoyed seeing the paintings of Paul Sargent's and getting to know a person from this area who achieved so much.  I really enjoyed working with Mrs. Goudy and our team this semester.  I feel that we learned a lot from each other these past few weeks.  Thank you to our team (Hallie, Jacob, Dakota, and Brianna) for such a great time.  We have some great painters and cooks.
