Mini Field Trip
Quakers
Our team met with Dr. Daniels to learn about the Quaker Religion. We
were entremely interested in learning more about the Quakers and what
role they played in helping the fugitive slaves on the Underground
Railroad. We heard about how simple the life of Quakers are and how
they don't belive in being showy or having material things. We
learned how they think everybody is equal no matter what your gender,
race, or background is. Due to this it was easy for us to understand
how Quakers would want to help the enslaved people escape to freedom.
We have learned that Harriet B. Stowe was also a very religious person
and so it made sense that she would also be caring of others.
