Mini-Field Trip
Team 6 had the opportunity to see
Dr. Sterling in action during our mini field trip. It was very
interesting to watch him perform and tell all of the interesting
stories that he had about Abraham Lincoln. He started the
presentation by having one of the student's wear an Abraham Lincoln
mask and read the Pledge of Allegiance. The Pledge contains the most
important ideas. The student just so happened to be our wonderful group
member
Sydney! She did a wonderful job as 'Honest Abe.' Dr.
Sterling told
very enthusiastic stories of what life was like for Abraham Lincoln.
His life changed in the White House when he had to lead the country
through the Civil War. We learned that Tad,
his son, was a very jolly spirit and actually brought a goat into a
cabinet meeting! Tad helped his father to have some happy moments.
Meeting Dr. Sterling was a great experience for all involved and
we are so glad that we were able to experience all that we did!
