Synopsis
The story is about a farm family in Charleston, IL in 1858. They recently found out that Abraham Lincoln and Stephan Douglas are to have a debate in Charleston. (Lincoln and Douglas debated when they were both running for the Senate) The family consists of a mother, father, 11-year-old girl named Martha, 9-year-old boy named Billy, and a 7-year-old girl named Annie. Throughout this skit you will hear their excitement about the debate and parade, and their reaction to them. Enjoy!
