Surveyor
Our team met with Mr. M. Pickett who is a graduate student at the EIU geology department. He showed us very old surveying tools along with maps of the world. We really enjoyed sharing our maps with Mr. Pickett!
Postmaster
Our team met with Mr. H. Hacket who is the postmaster for the Charleston area. He told us how Lincoln would have delievered mail in New Salem. We learned Lincoln only made $50 a year! We loved looking at the interesting artifacts and enjoyed the coloring books.
