Paige likes this picture because it reminds her that we learned about how Abe Lincoln participated in the Black Hawk War and the Civil War.
Hallie likes this picture of Abe Lincoln because it shows how tall he was. We learned that he was six feet, four inches, and the hat that he usually wore made him even taller! She also liked it because it shows how differently people dressed then compared to today.
Jakob and Vincent liked this picture. This is a picture of a sculpture of Lincoln's head! They liked it because it was made out pennies! And we all know whose face is on the penny...

We know that the number of stars on the American flag represents the number of states in our country, and it has changed every time we added a new state!
