This website is in honor of Abraham Lincoln's bicentennial year in 2009 and give a lot of great information about Abraham Lincoln's personal life.  At this website you can tour Abe's birthplace as well as learn a lot of interesting tidbits about Abe and can even look for lodging and dining if wanting to visit Hodgenville, KY for the bicentennial celebration festivities.

This website is a link from the official White House website.  The website includes a very detailed biography of Abraham Lincoln with a lot of interesting facts.  This page also has other links to look up about other events or people involving the White House as well as a link to kid-made biographies of Abraham Lincoln.

Abraham Lincoln

This website is simply a small biography of Abraham Lincoln.  It contains detailed and interesting information on his early life, different jobs, the Lincoln vs. Douglas debate, road to presidency, and the Civil War.

American Civil War

The children of team 6 really loved this website because it was a very kid friendly page about the Civil War and included links to other resources such as battleground sites, important people in the civil war, and Civil War books great for early to middle level readers, as well as a  variety of other topics.  This website was also interesting for children because it had pages for Civil War music, cooking during the Civil War, and real soldiers letters.

Kids Konnect: Civil War

This website was simply a page dedicated to links to learn more about the Civil War, including anything from learning about the different weapons used throughout the Civil War to African American's stories of escaping to freedom.  However, one of the favorite links for the children was Civil War for Kids which allowed kids to do online activities (such as fill-in-the-blanks or crosswords), look at real images of  Civil War uniforms, and even read biographies of some of the main Civil leaders.

Social Studies for Kids: Civil War

Many different topics of the Civil War are available from the many links on the website, created especially for kids social studies, a great resources especially for elementary teachers.  Through these links one can learn about the Who?What? When? Where? and Why's? of the civil war, glance through a glossery of different topics covered throughout a Civil War unit, learn how medicine was used during the Civil War, and lot more great materials and resources!
