On April 25th the Project WOW third graders went on a field trip to Springfield and New Salem. Our first stop was at the Illinios State Museum. Here we learned all about the geologic and historic changes the state of Illinois has undergone. They even had a wonderfull exhibit about Lincoln's Illinois.

Our next stop, was at New Salem. Lincoln spent the first years of his adult life living in New Salem working as a store clerk, before he moved to Springfield to be in the state legislature. At New Salem, we were able to see what life looked like while Abe lived there.
