" Hi! My name is Angela Curry, and I am a Senior Elementary Education major with a concentration in Sociology. I feel that our team benefited a lot from this experience. We learned a lot about the history of Illinois and our hero Chief Black Hawk. Chief Black Hawk was a great leader who had a huge impact on Illinois. Everyone in the team worked extremely hard to make this project successful. Amanda, Lee, Pat and I all had a lot of fun and I thought that this was a great learning experience for all who were involved."

"Hi! My name is Pat Fordonski, and I am a senior Elementary Education major with my concentration in Geography. I felt that I gained a great deal of experience from the Illinois Hero project. It was great to work with Amanda and Lee the Carl Sandburg students who Angie and I got to work with for this project. The experience also gave me many ideas that I can use in the future when I begin to teach. I was able to learn valuable information regarding Illinois and the impact that Chief Black Hawk made on Illinois.
