During our Study of
John Phillip Sousa, we took a mini field trip to meet an musician of today.
Dr. Patricia Poulter talked to us about music and also
Ella Fitzgerald.
On our trip we learned many things but our favorite thing
to learn about was scat singing. Dr. Poulter of the music department
of Eastern Illinois University showed us what scat singing was on the piano.
