The exhibition, titled Tossing Pennies / Mapping New Territories / Fireflies in an Open Field / In the Dark (for Sol LeWitt), is a painting and drawing intervention by Candida Alvarez. This temporary work of art created directly on the walls of the eGallery is one of two original works being commissioned as part of this year's Contemporary Currents series and to commemorate the Tarble Arts Center's 25th anniversary year of 2007-2008.

Candida Alvarez

Candida Alvarez received her MFA from the Yale School of Art and is an Associate Professor in the Department of Painting and Drawing at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
