left art school to start his career.
-Norman illustrated a children's book, Tell Me Why...
-He soon became the editor of Boy's Life, a boy scout magazine
-His salary at Boy's Life was $50 a month
1916- Norman's foirst

1917- Norman joined
the Navy
-They sent him to Charleston, South Carolina
-They noticed that Norman was very talented in drawing so they put him
to work to draw portraits of the men to send to their wives or girlfriends.
1918- He was discharged
from the Navy
-He made 332 covers for the Saturday Evening Post
1927- Norman painted
a picture of a pilot to recognize Charles Lindbergh
1929- Married Mary
-Frist son Jarvis born in 1931

1942- World War 2

-Norman was too old to serve, but his pictures depicted the time
1943- Norman's studio
