TEC 5323 Advanced Database Technology

Discussion of Week 1

This is the first discussion of the semester. You will find discussion is the main interaction vehicle for this course, which will take place every week during the entire semester. You will use the discussion board to talk about the principles and practices of the subject. You will also use the discussion board to post any problems you encountered. Those problems will be solved collectively by students participating in this course.

The purposes of this first discussion are as follows:

1. To know each other among students and faculty in the course.
2. To get familiar with the way how to work with discussion board.
3. To be able to post questions or problems to the discussion board in the future.

 

Discussion Topic:

Provide a brief bio of yourself so that all participants in the class can know you better. You may talk about whatever you like to share with the friends in the course.

Please attach a recent photo of yours and/or your pet(s).

Discussion Board (WebCT) Procedure:

  1. Login WebCT.
  2. You will log on to your WebCT desktop with your login username and password.
  3. Click on TEC5323 Advanced Database Technology. 
  4. Click on the "Class Discussion" icon from the TEC5323 web site. 
  5. Click "Week 1: Personal Introduction" for the first week's discussion.
  6. Under Subject, click "Week1: Welcome and Introduction." Please do not click Compose Discussion Message!!!
  7. Click "Reply" button.
  8. Compose your message. Press "Preview" to check for errors.
  9. After your check your reply, click "Post" button.

When you are ready, please click Discussion Board to login.
