Newton Key (Ph.D. History, Cornell, 1989) is a Professor of History and has been at Eastern Illinois since 1989. He is webmaster for the History Dept. and the Midwest Conference on British Studies, and an online book review editor (H-Albion). His is co-author of _Early Modern England, 1485-1714: a Narrative History; and of _Early Modern England, 1485-1714: Sources and Debates (both Blackwell, forthcoming, 2003), and articles on early modern English feasts, sermons, and local society and politics. http://ux1.eiu.edu/~cfnek
