Mesa Verde is found in the 4 corner region (Utah, Colorado, Arizona,
New Mexico) and is in the southwest region of Colorado. The purpose of
the lesson is to realize how Mesa Verde
became a national park and that there used to be people that lived
there.

did the Anasazi live and what things did they do? The purpose of
this lesson is to allow the students to study
the Anasazi culture to better enhance their knowledge of the ancient
people and
the past of Mesa Verde National Park.
Lesson 3
What
types of houses did the Anasazi have and how were the buildings
made? The purpose of this lesson is to allow the students to
understand the buildings of the ancient people of Mesa Verde.
Lesson 4
How did the Anasazi celebrate
their religion? The purpose of this
lesson is to gain an understanding of
the Anasazi’s beliefs and assess the knowledge gained by the students
about
Mesa Verde and the native people of the land.
Lesson 5
Where
is the Grand Canyon, how was it formed, and what types of Rock Layers
are
there?
The purpose of this lesson is for the students to gain knowledge of how
the Grand Canyon was formed and the types of rock layers that make up
the Grand Canyon.
Lesson 6
What are the land
characteristics and animals that live in
the Grand Canyon? The purpose of this lesson is to gain knowledge of
the
characteristics of Grand Canyon National Park and about the wildlife
found
there.
