MOHANDAS GANDHI’S CHILDHOOD

    Mohandas Gandhi was born on October 2, 1869 in Porbandar, India. He was the youngest of the three sons of Putilibai and Karamchand Gandhi. His mother was a religious woman who was sweet and kind. His father was a prime minister in their state. He was known for being very honest. Mohandas went to primary school in Porbandar. When Mohandas was seven his family moved to Rajkot. This is where he went to high school. Mohandas was not the best student in school he was very shy. He got married when he was thirteen to a girl named Kasturba. When Mohandas’ father died his oldest brother helped to educate him and send him to England to study law.
