Sacajawea is a good hero, because she is very brave.  She saved important papers in the river.  Lewis, Clark, and the other men were too scared to jump in the river to get the papers.  She had to carry her son the whole time.  She even jumped in the river with her son on her back.  Sacajawea had to travel across half of the United States, even in the winter.
