are granted the right to vote; Eleanor joins the League of Women Voters

declares that the U.S. is closer than ever before to ending poverty

stock market crashes causing the Great Depression. Eleanor starts
food lines to help those without jobs
1935-Eleanor
begins writing "My Day"
1941-WWII
