Here are the detailed policy and practice for our mid term test:
- The mid term test will take place at 6:00 PM on Friday, March 2, 2012.
- Please note: This is a test by individual student. In other words, copying from each other is not acceptable.
- The test will cover all the contents from Chapters 1 through 5.
- Test questions are from "Review Questions" at the end of each chapter.
- There are three types of questions: multiple choice (15 questions, 2 points each), short answer (5 questions, 6 points each) and short paragraph (10 questions, 4 points each).
- There is only one answer for any multiple choice problem. Choose the best one. The choices are randomly organized. In other words, it does not help if someone simply remembers A, B, or C choice. Please also note that the "True" and "False" positions are randomized. In other words, "True" may appear before or after "False."
- For short answer type of question, please note that it will be graded by the computer system. Exact spelling is required, including punctuation. It is not case sensitive.
- Short paragraph type of questions will be graded after your submission. Standard keys have already been established.
- Please note: It is fine to prepare for your answers before the mid term test. But, I will look for copying problems by everyone in the class. If any two students were found copying from each other, the entire test of both students will be downgraded to zero (0).
- You will be tested for 30 questions randomly selected from the test bank. In other words, your test questions may be slightly different from others.
- You will be given 45 minutes to complete your test. Please watch your test time since the system will NOT accept submissions after the time has expired.
- You will be tested only once. Thus, please review the content thoroughly and drink enough coffee before you push the "Start" button.
- It is open book test. But, I do not think you will have enough time to refer to the details in the book.
- When you are ready, you may login WebCT and access it under "Survey and Test."
