The First EIU Technology & Science Symposium
Revolutions in
Science and Technology Paradigms
Eastern Illinois University hosted several events as part of its symposium "Revolutions in Science and Technology Paradigms."
As we venture together to “un”cover the truth about the facts of life, we believe we are indeed doing a noble thing! In this symposium, we will focus on paradigms’ changes in science & technology that revolutionized our lives and created the world as we know it, including theories, concepts, and applications, besides looking at the lives and achievements of those distinguished game changers—inventors, scientists, technologists, philosophers, political scientists, artists, and many others.
The symposium was made possible through the combined efforts of the School of Technology, the Lumpkin College of Business and Applied Sciences, the Physics Department, the College of Sciences, and the Center for Academic Technology Support (CATS).
Producers of the series -- Dr. Wafeek Wahby, a professor in the School of Technology; and Dr. Steven Daniels, Chair, Physics Department-- aimed for the symposium to be enjoyed by the university communities and beyond. The symposium booklet summarizes each session and offers a brief bio of the speaker(s).
