     I think that John Muir was an American hero because he helped to preserve our national parks.  He took a thousand mile walk to the Gulf of Mexico.  He was an inventor of clocks.  He helped to form the Sierra Club.  He also immigrated to Wisconsin at the age of eleven.
 
 

    John Muir was an American hero because he helped found the Sierra Club.  He was born in Dunbar, Scotland.  One cool thing that I learned about was his thousand mile journey to the gulf of Mexico.  He often liked to write stories about his journeys.  He was married to Louis and he had two daughters.
