Cahokia Monks Mound
Cahokia Courthouse
EIU team facilitators visited the Illinois site of a great city of
the Cahokia Indians who lived here long before Lewis and Clark began their
explorations. The Cahokia Courthouse is a log building in the
French style. Lewis and Clark did business here in December of 1803.
Mr. Jarrot of Cahokia helped them to supply the expedition.
Exhibits inside the Cahokia Courthouse tell about Lewis and Clark's visits there..
The famous St. Louis Arch is the U.S. national memorial to Westward
Expansion.
Under the Arch is a museum which features the accomplishments of
Lewis and Clark and the Corps of Discovery.
The Eagle Team studied hard and chose the ideas in these pages to present to you.
